Monica

Birthday: March 18, 2001

Monica is easily our “happy” child. Although she has developmental problems Monica has overcome many obstacles since arriving at Casa. She is Miss Innocent and very happy go lucky. She is our child who can always be counted on to tell us the truth of what happened or “who did it.” She loves doll babies and playing in the sand. She also ALWAYS seems to have her shoes on the wrong feet, but she wears them with a smile on that sweet face. 

 

Fernando

Birthday: May 29, 2002

Fernando is our awkward dresser. He is constantly putting his clothes on backwards or pulling his pants up to his chin. No matter what he is wearing if we allow him to dress himself it is guaranteed to be a show.  He definitely marches to his own beat and has shown himself as a bit of a loner. He loves to ride bikes and play games.   However lately, he and Francisco have become big buddies and he is growing more accustomed to being a part of this family. 

 

Katty

Birthday: April 7, 2004

Katty is our “princess.” She loves attention/affection and often gets both by getting in your face and demanding it! She most definitely likes to have her way and often earns herself time in “the seat” for throwing fits when things don’t go quite like she planned. She is quite impish for a 3 year old.  She loves to play and will eat anything….including dirt, sand, or gum she finds on the ground! She has one of the sweetest giggles in the entire world and loves to jibber jabber all day.

 

Doris

Doris just recently joined her younger brother and sisters here at Casa de Esperanza. Doris now is quite the character, she also has some developmental problems, but she is loving and full of energy. She comes from extreme poverty. She is loving having monica around....they really connect.
