5 Brothers: Yovani, Marvin, Mario, Francisco, and Antonio
These 5 brothers were the first arrivals to come to us on June 30, 2006 after their father was sent to prison for homicide and their mother was too poor to be able to take care of them. She willingly abandoned them to keep them from starving.
Update: Custody was restored to the boys' parents. Please pray that they are able to be well cared for and for their future sucess. Also pray for their emotional adjustment and ours, as they transition from the home they've known for the last two years into their home with their parents.
Antonio
Birthday: June 12, 2005
At just two years old Antonio is our youngest. Before moving to Casa a year ago he spent 6 months in another children’s home. Therefore, it is understandable that this little one takes awhile to warm up to new people. However, once he has decided to like someone he becomes one of the cuddliest and most lovable children we have. He just recently learned how to go “potty” in the real bathroom and continues to grow and change daily. He is affectionately known as “Stinky” around the house by adults and kids alike.
Francisco
Birthday: October 4, 2003
With his big brown eyes and his matching dimples, little Francisco can melt just about any heart. Combine his cute looks with his sweet disposition and it is nearly impossible to punish him. Not to mention he has one of the cutest pouty faces known to man. Like his brother Mario, Francisco loves music. However, his love for music becomes evident in his love for dancing. It isn’t uncommon for him to point his little finger at you, informing you that it is your turn to dance. It doesn’t matter if you are in public or if there is even any music being played.
Mario
Birthday: July 26, 2001
Mario is very smart for his age. It becomes a challenge some days to stay one step ahead of him as he attempts to use his intelligence to find ways to skip school, get out of trouble, or worse….get into trouble! Mario plays the role of everyone’s friend and gets along with anyone. Mario loves music and his favorite song is Jesus Loves Me – in English.
Marvin (Mar b En)
Marvin is our outdoorsman. He loves to wrestle and rough house. He is the first to jump in whenever there is an opportunity to work outside or get dirty. The sweet sound of his giggle can make a room go silent.
Yovani (Jovani)
Birthday: December 5, 1997
As the oldest of our 5 brothers Yovani has taken on the role of protector and teacher. He is our independent child. He is very responsible for his age and never needs to be reminded to do his homework or clean up after himself. Yovani loves to give back massages and is actually quite good at it!
