Ashley
God doesn't always work within our self-determined schedules, nor does He always do things in the most conventional of ways. Ashley knows this first hand. It was in the middle of her junior year at Malone College that Ashley received the call to Casa after stumbling onto Jen's blog about the ministry there. In what would become a marvelous display of God's provision and of His affirmation God transitioned Ashley from a college student to a momma of 15 in less than 2 months. God continued to move through Ashley over the course of her "semester abroad" and ever so gently continued to nudge her into remaining at Casa for an extended amount of time. It has now been over a year since she first arrived in Honduras and it has been without question a period of the most intense growth and challenge, joy and unpredictability. In the midst of each day though, Ashley sees the Lord's love and purpose a little more clearly through the eyes of 15 beautiful faces and realizes anew that unconventional can be so good when it places you in the midst of the Lord's will.
